Joint Cooperation between Civil Service Bureau and National Bureau for Revenue

Manama, July 28 (BNA): The Civil Service Bureau (CSB) and the National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) announced their joint cooperation on the implementation and modernization of the quality management systems at NBR. CSB’s President Ahmed bin Zayed Al-Zayed, and NBR’s CE Rana Ebrahim Faqihi reviewed the mechanisms and phases of coordination and joint action to enhance governmental performance, particularly workstreams pertaining to ensuring quality management. The cooperation between the CSB and the NBR is founded on the Civil Service Law promulgated by Legislative Decree 48/2010, which gives the CSB the responsibility of managing institutional performance and the application of quality systems in government bodies. This cooperation aims to prepare the NBR for implementing the quality management system and provide technical support, training and administrative support to ensure that all the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 are met. The CSB will prepare a plan for supervising and auditing the implementation management system in the NBR. The coordination includes five basic stages including spreading the culture of quality, the process of documentation, training and support, internal and external audits in preparation for ISO certification, and providing advice and guidance regarding the use of appropriate technologies to implement the quality management system. The NBR thanked the CSB for its efforts to ensure implementing the quality management system, which reflects their commitment to upgrading services, enhancing continuous development, promoting joint work, and delivering the best government services.
