Yemen, Turkey discuss means to set up joint institution

SANA'A, May 13 (Saba)- Yemen and Turkey discussed on Wednesday the
possibility to activate the project of cooperation agreement on
establishing the Yemeni-Turkish Institute financed by Turkey.

Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Ibrahim
Hajri discussed with the Turkish ambassador to Yemen Mohammed
Donamaz means of enhancing the relations between the two countries
in the technical education field.

The minister reviewed the system of technical education and
vocational training in Yemen, mentioning that the technical
education and community colleges reached 78 colleges during 2009 and
include 25,000 students.

For his part, the Turkish diplomat voiced his country adherence to
support and enhance the mutual cooperation Yemen and Turkey in the
technical education field and offer study scholarships for the
graduates of National Institute of Hotel and Tourism.
