SCW Secretary General receives Turkish ambassador

Manama, Aug. 2 (BNA): Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), Hala Al Ansari received today Turkish Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Esin Çakıl. She congratulated her on her appointment and reviewed with her the role of SCW in following up on all issues related to women in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She also expressed keenness of SCW on further cooperation with the Turkish institutions concerned with women, particularly in the economic empowerment field. The SCW Secretary General highlighted priorities of SCW and the council’s future aspirations after 20 years of its establishment, in implementation of the vision of its President, HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King. During the meeting, the SCW Assistant Secretary General, Shaikha Dina bint Rashid Al Khalifa, gave a visual presentation in which she shed light on diverse procedures and initiatives taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to support full participation of Bahraini women in the commercial and entrepreneurship field. The Turkish ambassador praised the institutional and organised work of SCW, under the presidency of HRH Princess Sabeeka, Wife of HM the King. She lauded the council’s plans, initiatives and projects to back the advancement march of Bahraini women. She voiced her country’s readiness to boost cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain in this respect.
