Foreign Minister receives Sudanese ambassador

Manama, Aug. 4 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, today received at the ministry the Ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE. Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Hasan, on the occasion of the end of his term as ambassador of his country to the Kingdom. The meeting was held in the presence of the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE. Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Mudailawi. The Foreign Minister stressed the depth of close brotherly relations between Bahrain and Sudan, hailing the efforts made by the ambassador during his tenure to promote bilateral cooperation in all fields. He underlined the impact of those efforts in promoting brotherly relations between the two countries and people, pointing out the opening of the new headquarters of the Sudanese embassy and the residence of the ambassador in Bahrain. For his part, Ambassador Al-Hasan expressed deep thanks and appreciation to the government and people of Bahrain, and to the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in particular, for the support he received, which contributed to the success of his diplomatic missions. He wished the kingdom further progress and prosperity. The minister presented a commemorative gift to the ambassador, wishing him continued success. The meeting was also attended by the Ministry’s Chief of Arab Affairs, HE. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Tarifi.
