BQA chief: SCW made Bahrain a leader in women advancement

Manama, Aug. 22 (BNA): Chief Executive of the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), Dr. Jawaher Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, has extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President, on the 20th anniversary of the SCW.
Dr. Al-Mudhahki said that thanks to the SCW, Bahrain has become at the forefront of countries that consolidate women’s status and allow their participation in developing and building their nation.
She lauded the SCW’s efforts which have contributed to empowering Bahraini women, making them essential partners in the kingdom’s comprehensive development march, and enabling them to hold the highest executive posts in the country, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
She expressed pride in the advanced levels reached by Bahraini women over the past two decades thanks to the SCW’s efforts, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, citing the consolidation of the equal opportunities concept, and the development of the strategies that guarantee women’s rights and strengthen their role.
Thanks to the directives of HRH Princess Sabeeka, Bahraini women have proved themselves at all levels, locally, regionally and globally, she said.
She indicated that the establishment of the SCW 20 years ago had augured a new phase regarding Bahraini women’s status and empowerment, paving the way for them to increase their accomplishment and enhance their effective contributions to the economic, educational and social progress the kingdom is currently witnessing.
