Mumtalakat welcomes Sudanese government's decision

Manama, Aug. 28 (BNA): Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) has welcomed the decision taken by the transitional government of the Republic of Sudan to stop the suspension of the licence granted to the “Khayrat Al Bahrain” project in Al-Dabbah, as part of the distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries. The company commended the major role played by the Foreign Affairs Ministry and its Sudanese counterpart in canceling the decision to suspend the licence. Mumtalakat re-affirmed its keenness to contribute to the efforts to achieve food security for the Kingdom, in line with its objectives and investment vision. It added that since it had assumed responsibility for investing in the land of "Khayrat Al Bahrain" in mid-2017, it has sought to complete the strategic study necessary to implement this project despite the challenges that it faces. The company faced the logistical and technical aspects related to the location of the land and the subsequent repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic, in addition to the political developments in Sudan.
