Hungarian Press Highlights Participation of Qatar National Team in European Qualifiers for 2022 World Cup

Budapest, August 29 (QNA) - The Hungarian press highlighted the participation of Qatar national team in the European qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, praising the promotional campaign launched Qatar Football Association (QFA) in Debrecen city which will host Qatar's matches against Serbia and Portugal. The Streets and public places in Debrecen were decorated with Qatari flags and pictures of the national team's players. Qatar Football Association (QFA) launched the promotional campaign both in Debrecen and on its social media platforms which has been actively announcing the campaign, in order to provide all information about the State of Qatar and the national team and its players participating the European qualifiers. The Hungarian newspapers praised the efforts of Qatar Football Association which published many advertisements in English, Serbian and Arabic languages, prompting the praise by the Arab community in Serbia. The newspapers highlighted the journey of Qatar national team in these qualifiers and praised its winning of the 2019 Asian Cup title. The Hungarian press also shed light on Aspire Academy, referring to the Academy as the center of sports life in the State of Qatar which gathers talented youth from all over the world, and builds excellent athletes in remarkable conditions. The report said that Aspire Academy has reaped the fruit of its efforts in its great achievements accomplished by its players in the 2014 AFC U-19 Championship, the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, and most recently the Qatari team's distinguished performance in the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The Hungarian press underlined that Qatar national team has all the ingredients for success, in addition to talented players, most notably Akram Afif who is one of the best football players in Qatar Stars League.
