Al-Sharq Affirms Qatar's Successes in Resolving Many Conflicts

Doha, August 30 (QNA) - In its editorial Monday, Al-Sharq newspaper affirmed that the State of Qatar has occupied an important place internationally, thanks to the wise policy under the auspices of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and long years of benevolent efforts. The paper hailed the State of Qatar's mediation diplomacy and its successes in resolving many conflicts, as well as the victory of its policy that focuses on strengthening international peace and security. In this regard, the newspaper underlined the State of Qatar's role in light of the complex circumstances and major challenges in the ongoing evacuations in Afghanistan, given its position and its mediation between the Taliban and Washington on the one hand and the Afghan parties on the other hand. The paper noted that Qatar has gained the confidence of all in its neutrality, and it is the main channel for countries of the world to communicate with Taliban to ensure the success of the evacuations. It also said that the developments taking place in Afghanistan have placed the Qatari diplomacy at the center of international humanitarian efforts, as it has succeeded in safely transporting and facilitating the evacuation of tens of thousands of foreigners and Afghans and their families, and provided a safe airlift for the evacuation of women, children, students and journalists. Qatar's humanitarian efforts and vital role in coordinating the evacuation processes were highly respected and appreciated by leaders of the world, who thanked HH the Amir for these efforts.
