Construction of Chonsong-Songsanchon Gravity-Fed Drain Pit Completed

Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- The construction of the Chonsong-Songsanchon gravity-fed drain pit has been completed. Members of the South Phyongan Provincial youth shock brigade engaged in the project have successfully finished the construction which involved the excavation of a waterway tunnel extending thousands of meters. The completion of the construction has laid a material and technical foundation for markedly increasing the coal production in the coalfield areas in the western part of the country by draining underground water from large-scale coal mines. -0-
