Laos, Thailand further co-operation

(KPL) Laos and Thailand has signed 7 co-operation agreements after the bilateral talks held in Bangkok on 13 May between Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
The agreement co-operation signed by Laos and Thailand included the minute of the 15th meeting of the Joint Commission (JC) between Thailand and Lao P. D. R. signed by both foreign ministers; an agreement to exchange the land lend for consular affairs signed by Mr. Hiem Phommachanh, Deputy Foreign Minister and Mr. Viboun Khousakhou, Ambassador of Thailand to Laos, MoU to buy the electricity from the Nam Theun II and MoU on co-operation to link the 115 Kw transmission line from Thali electricity station of Thailand to Paklai electricity station of Laos; a second amended agreement to buy the electricity from Seset hydro power project signed by Mr. Khammy Inthalath, Director General of the Electricity Du Laos and his counterpart from Thailand.
In addition, the other mutual of understanding agreements between the two countries was also signed.
