FIFA President Visits Elite Referees Camp in Doha

Doha, September 05 (QNA) - FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who is currently on a visit to Doha, visited the elite referees camp at the Qatar Football Association, which is being held until September 7, as part of his constant keenness to follow up on refereeing and his great interest in developing it. Infantino inspected the elite referees' refinement course, praising the events, participating referees and lecturers, and the great support provided by the Qatar Football Association (QFA) to develop refereeing. The course is organized by the Refereeing Department of the Qatar Football Association, with the participation of (65) elite referees, and with the participation of referees lecturers from the sister Arab federations (Syria - Palestine - Djibouti). Infantino was accompanied by Adviser to the President of the Federation and Deputy Secretary-General of FIFA, Matthias Grafstrom, and the famous French coach Arsene Wenger. The FIFA president gave a speech to the referees in which he expressed his happiness at his presence in Qatar, which is one of the important countries in the game of football, especially as it will host the World Cup next year. He stressed his support and sponsorship of arbitration in general and that referees are a very important part of the FIFA family and all the continental and national federations, and urged them to make more effort and practice arbitration with passion. For his part, Head of the Referees Association Naji Al Juwayni expressed his great happiness to the President of the International Football Association, with this visit and the great moral support he provided to all the participants in this session, which will undoubtedly be a great motivation for them to develop further.(QNA)
