Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers: Important Victories for Spain, Germany, Italy and Belgium
Capitals, September 08 (QNA) - Teams of Spain, Germany, Italy and Belgium achieved important victories in the sixth round of the European qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, while England fell into a draw with Poland.
In the first match, Spain continued its revival by beating its host Kosovo (2-0) in the second group, Pablo Fornals and Ferran Torres scored the two goals in the 32nd and 89th minutes.
In the same group, Greece revived its hopes of competing for second place when it inflicted Sweden's first loss in the qualifiers (2-1) and served Spain, Anastasios Pacasitas (62) and Vangelis Pavlidis (78) scored the two goals for Greece, and Saudi Al-Ittifaq striker Robin Quaison (80) scored Sweden's goal.
In the second match, the German team won a big victory over its Icelandic host (4-0) and consolidated its lead in the tenth group, the goals were scored by Serge Gnabry (4), Antonio Rudiger (24), Leroy Sane (56) and Timo Werner (88).
