Meeting with the President

Astana, May 16, 2009 (Khabar) - The president has also conducted the meeting with the officials of the government, “Nur Otan” Party and heads of regions and districts. He asked to strengthen the modernization of the housing and public utilities, transports and social infrastructure, activate the fight against unemployment and to strengthen the social protection of the population. Also, head of regions are to establish the monitoring of the implementation of trilateral memoranda and agreements with employers. The President paid particular attention on the organization of sowing works and preparation to the heating season. Also, the president asked to avoid arrears in paying salaries to state workers and strengthen the fight against crimes. In general, the head of state noted that amid the global financial crisis the work of head of regions is normal.
