Team Qatar Qualify for FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship

Lausanne, September 20 (QNA) - Qatar's national volleyball team qualified for the first time for FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, to be staged in Russia from August 26 to September 11, 2022. The Qatari national team achieved this accomplishment thanks to their FIVB world ranking of 20 which was announced on Sunday, after taking the fifth place in the Asian Championship concluded in Japan recently. Twenty-four team will compete for the top honors in Russia. President of the Qatar Volleyball Association and Vice-President of the Asian Volleyball Confederation, Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari will attend the draw for the tournament on September 30 in Russia, after completing the 24 seats in the global event. Al Kuwari explained that the federation will prepare the team well during the coming period to present an honorable image of the Arabs with the teams of Tunisia and Egypt in the World Cup finals.
