Foreign Minister participates in Arab League ministerial meeting in New York

New York, Sept. 20 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani took part today in the consultative meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level held at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations. The meeting was chaired by the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, who is the President of the 156th session of the League of Arab States and with the participation of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit. The meeting reviewed several topics on the 76th United Nations General Assembly’s agenda, development in dealing with the Palestinian issue at the UN, as well as coordinating positions regarding the international issues that will be discussed at the current UNGA. The meeting was attended by the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, H.E. Ambassador Jamal Faris Al Ruwaie.
