GCC Billiards and Snooker Championship Kicks-Off in Doha Thursday

Doha, September 22 (QNA) - The Gulf Billiards and Snooker Championship, organized by the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation, will kick off Thursday, September 23, at Al Messila Resort until September 28, with the participation of champions representing the six GCC countries - Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, and the UAE.
Qatar billiards and snooker team will compete in the tournament with five players, three in snooker competitions: Ahmed Saif, Ali Al Obaidly and Muhanna Al Obaidly, and two in billiards competitions: Walid Majid and Bashar Hussein.
Qatar players have the expertise and technical and mental capabilities that qualify them to achieve success after another and excel over their competitors, but this does not prevent at the same time recognizing the strength of billiards and snooker in the Gulf countries, and therefore the competition will not be easy at all, and the struggle will be fierce in order to rise to the platforms Coronation.
It is noteworthy that this tournament is the third organized by the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation in recent days, as the beginning was with the 36th Asian Singles Championship, which was held, with the participation of 42 players representing 19 countries, followed by the World Snooker Championship with the participation of 55 players represent 29 countries.
For his part, Mubarak Al Khayarin, International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) and Executive Director of the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation, confirmed the readiness of the competition hall in Messila for the launch of the combined Gulf Championship.
The competitions of this tournament will be held in seven competitions, with four competitions in billiards: 9-ball billiards, double billiards, 8-ball billiards, 10-ball billiards, and three snooker competitions: singles men's snooker, men's snooker for teams and men's snooker 6 balls, said Al Khayarin.
