Foreign Minister meets with CICA Executive Director

New York, Sept. 22 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today at the headquarters of the Mission of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, with the Executive Director of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), HE Ambassador Kairat Sarybay, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly. During the meeting, the two sides emphasized the important role played by CICA in achieving peace, security and stability in Asia, and the need to further develop relations of cooperation and joint action between the Kingdom of Bahrain and CICA states at all levels in order to meet the aspirations of the countries and peoples of this important Asian group. Present at the meeting were the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations, HE Ambassador Jamal Al-Ruwaie, and the accompanying delegation of the Foreign Minister.
