Foreign Minister meets World Jewish Congress President

New York, Sep.22 (BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, with the President of the World Jewish Congress, H.E. Ronald Lauder, on the sidelines of the 76th United Nations General Assembly. During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the World Jewish Congress, within the framework of the relations between the two sides and the Abraham Accords and the opportunities it provided for promoting efforts to establish peace, stability, and prosperity to the peoples of the region. They also emphasized the importance of making further endeavours to support efforts to establish a just and comprehensive peace in the region, and to spread the values of tolerance, coexistence, and cooperation among its people, in addition to discussing several issues of common interest. Present at the meeting was MoFA Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations, Ambassador Jamal Al-Ruwaie.
