Special Envoy for Climate meets Saudi CEO of NRRC

Vienna, Sept. 26 (BNA): Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and Chief Executive Officer of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina met Saudi Arabia CEO of the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission (NRRC) Dr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Issa during the 65th session of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Conference. The meeting discussed topics of common interest in the field of control and protection over radioactive and nuclear materials, and ways to strengthen bilateral efforts in controlling exports, imports and nuclear materials. Dr. Bin Daina praised the deep historical Bahraini-Saudi relations, stressing the council's keenness to enhance cooperation with the NRRC in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Al Issa expressed his pride in the international positions adopted by Bahrain in various forums concerned with the control of radioactive and nuclear materials, and for the great efforts to preserve the environment and climate change. He stressed the importance of unifying efforts and exchanging expertise to ensure the proper management of radioactive materials and that the region is free of nuclear materials.
