Yemen, WFP discuss joint cooperation

SANA'A, May 16 (Saba)- Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakil discussed
on Saturday with the Regional Director of the World Food Program (WFP) for the
Middle East and East Europe Daly Belgasmi activities of the program in Yemen and
means of reinforcing and developing them.

They reviewed aspects of international support for food field and food security in
the light of the new strategy of the WFP which gives Yemen a big priority to benefit
from its services.

During the meeting, the minister valued the WFP support to Yemen, voicing readiness
to ease all difficulties the program faces in Yemen to deliver the international and
humanitarian aid.

He also noted efforts to prepare a national strategy for food security in
cooperation with concerned ministries, organizations and donors such as the EU and
WB.
