CENTOM official hails Yemeni efforts in competing piracy

SANA'A, May 16 (Saba) - Deputy Commander of United States Central Command (CENTCOM)
John Allen hailed on Saturday the successes have been achieved by the Yemeni marine
forces and coastguard in competing piracy.

Allen voiced during his talks with the Interior Minister Rashad al-Masri on Saturday
the American government's readiness to support the Yemeni security bodies in the
training field, saying that Yemen is a real partner in competing terrorism and
piracy.

The talks dealt with fields of security cooperation between the two countries,
especially in fields of combating corruption and supporting coastguards.

For his part, al-Masri hailed the strengthened relations between Yemen and the US
and the mutual cooperation between the security bodies of both countries, confirming
that the coming future would witness more cooperation ties.
