Yemen, US talk on combating terrorism, sea piracy

SANA'A, May 16 (Saba) - Yemen and the United States talked here on Saturday on the
cooperation areas in combating terrorism and sea piracy.

A meeting gathered Chief of General Staff Ahmed al-Ashwal and Deputy Commander of
United States Central Command John Allen discussed the friendship ties and means of
developing bilateral cooperation fields between the two friendly countries' armies.

The U.S. official praised the advanced level that Yemeni armed forces reached,
voicing his admiration for the operation carried out recently by Yemeni navy during
releasing the Yemeni ships from Somali pirates and capturing a number of them.
