Yemen, EC discuss health program first phase achievements

TAIZ, May 16 (Saba) - Yemen and the European Union discussed on Saturday achievement
progress of the first phase of the technical support of health and population
program and in each of Taiz and Lahj governorates at a cost of 8 million Euros
donated by the EU.

Taiz governor Hamoud al-Sufi reviewed with team leader of EC technical support of
health and population Kamal al-Saghairi the current preparation to implement the
second phase of European program to support health sector in Taiz, Lahj and Hodeidah
provinces include support of infrastructure, equipment and rehabilitation of medical
staff.

Taiz governor said the European support for the health program in Yemen reflects the
partnership between Yemen and EC in various fields, affirming the importance of
concerted efforts to the success of the second phase of EC program to serve the
interests of the citizens in the targeted provinces.
