SEA President receives UNDP Resident Representative

Manama, Sept. 29 (BNA): Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA)’s President Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza received United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Resident Representative Stefano Pettinato. The meeting reviewed projects of the authority, and the role of UNDP in its achievements. Dr. Mirza praised the efforts made by Pettinato as a resident representative and his keenness to support the Kingdom’s efforts in the transition to sustainable energy. He stressed on the importance of continued cooperation to achieve common goals in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. The representative praised SEA’s role in enabling the Kingdom to achieve energy sustainability locally and an international sustainable development goal related to ensuring universal access to modern, reliable and sustainable energy services at an affordable cost by 2030.
