Foreign Minister and Israeli counterpart inaugurate Israel Embassy

Manama, Sep.30 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel Yair Lapid, today inaugurated the headquarters of the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
At the outset of the ceremony, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and his Israeli counterpart cut the ribbon and lifted the curtain on the commemorative plaque of the embassy signaling its official inauguration and then toured it.
On this occasion, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel Lapid expressed his thanks and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality.
He said it was a great honor at the end of a day full of emotions, wishing both peoples to live in peace and prosperity forever, noting that the signing of the memoranda of Understanding has been developed into something tangible, and bilateral relations into friendship.
Dr. Zayani delivered a speech in which he welcomed Lapid, expressing his happiness to participate in this historic opening of the Israeli Embassy in Manama, which is a reflection of growing cooperation and common intentions.
He said that there is a lot of potential to expand and deepen our relations across many sectors, through the two countries’ embassies and wished the newly appointed Israeli ambassador every success in his duties, expressing aspiration to continue building on everything that has been achieved so far.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by a number of accredited ambassadors to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Undersecretary for Political Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain Ambassador to the State of Israel Khalid Yousef Al-Jalahma, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Israel to the Kingdom of Bahrain and Foreign Ministry senior officials.
