Al-Alimi praises WFP support to Yemen

SANA'A, May 17 (Saba) - Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Affairs and
Minister of Local Administration Rashad al-Alimi praised here on Sunday the United
Nation World Food Program (WFP)'s assistance to the country.

During his meeting with the WFP's Regional Director for the Middle East, Central
Asia and Eastern Europe Daly Belgasmi the Minister al-Alimi affirmed the readiness
of the government as well as Local Administration Ministry to overcome the
difficulties that might impede the Program's work.

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to WFP's efforts to provide food
aid, which come within the Program's framework to alleviate poverty.
