Speaker hails media's pivotal role in strengthening community awareness

Manama, Oct. 6 (BNA): Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal has praised the development of the media in Bahrain by benefiting from the freedom of opinion under the comprehensive development process launched by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She commended the pivotal role of the national media in promoting societal awareness, working to achieve the higher interest of the country, serving the citizens, and highlighting and protecting achievements. Meeting parliament reporters and media, Zainal valued the effective cooperation between the legislative branch and the government headed by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance joint national action and raise the level of development and achievements. The Speaker expressed pride in Bahrain's leadership during the coronavirus pandemic and stressed the gratitude of the Council of Representatives to the community for their awareness that contributed to supporting Team Bahrain in flattening the curve of infections, reducing the number of cases, and achieving rapid recovery and return to normal life. Zainal shared with the media views and perceptions related to parliament coverage ahead of the inauguration on October 10 of the fourth and last session of the fifth legislative term.
