Foreign Minister meets with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Peninsula Affairs

Manama, Oct. 6 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Peninsula Affairs, His Excellency Daniel Benaim. During the meeting, the two sides discussed friendly relations and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the USA and their perpetual development in various fields. They also reviewed the efforts made by the two countries to maintain security and stability in the region and promote peace, tolerance and peaceful coexistence for the benefit of its peoples. Both sides also exchanged views on the democratic process in Bahrain and the efforts made by the kingdom to protect human rights. The meeting was attended by Chargé D'Affaires of the US Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Margaret Nardi, Chief of American Affairs Sector at the ministry, Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and Chief of Human Rights Sector, Dr. Arwa Hassan Al-Sayed.
