In the wake of the uproar about irregularities with the voters list for April's legislative elections, the Elections Supervisory Board on Sunday called for the voter registration period for July's presidential poll to be extended.

Wahidah Suaib, a member of the board, known as Bawaslu, said some officials from the General Elections Commission (KPU) had been late in posting voters list announcements and had set the time frame for both announcing and revising the list at only two weeks.
