Foreign Ministry Undersecretary visits Heritage Foundation in Washington

Washington DC, Oct. 7 (BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa has visited the Heritage Foundation, where he was received by the its senior officials, led by Director of the Douglas Centre and Sarah Allison for Foreign Policy Luke Coffey. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah delivered a lecture in which he stressed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, is presenting a comprehensive and sustainable reform approach that stems from the local framework to make all mankind avail of its genuine principles and noble values. The undersecretary praised the close strategic partnership between the Kingdom and the United States, pointing to the close cooperation between them that facilitates the evacuation process and supports relief efforts in Afghanistan. He explained that the Abraham Peace Accord reflects a realistic and inspiring vision for the peoples of the region to enjoy security and development and said that Bahrain plays a responsible and effective role as a centre for human dialogue and a forum for coexistence and tolerance. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah stressed the importance of the role that institutions and research and intellectual centres, particularly the prestigious Heritage Foundation, could play in spreading the culture of peace and promoting global prosperity.
