European Qualifiers, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: Qatar Squad Gears Up for Poland Tie

Lisbon, October 11 (QNA) - Qatar national football team delegation has left the Portuguese city of Faro heading to Dublin, Ireland, which will host Qatar's match against Ireland on Tuesday in the eighth round of the first group of European qualifiers qualifying for the FIFA world cup Qatar 2022. Qatar team lost 3-0 to its Portuguese counterpart in the seventh round on Saturday, the squad will participate in its only major training at Aviva Stadium in Dublin. The technical staff led by the Spaniard Felix Sanchez, was satisfied with a recovery training session after the end of the confrontation with Portugal, provided that tomorrow's training is the only one. The Qatari team is looking for a better appearance than the image presented in the Portugal match. The European Football Association (UEFA) had invited Qatar football association to participate in the European qualifiers for the FIFA world cup Qatar 2022, in a move that reflects Doha's position on the international sports. In light of the Qatar's qualification for the 2022 world cup as a host country, the results of their matches will not be counted in the ranking of the teams points in Group A. Serbia leads the standings of group A with 14 points, then Portugal 13 points and has a postponed match with Luxembourg, the third place with 6 points, then Ireland in fourth place with 5 points, and finally Azerbaijan with one point in last place.
