Malaysian Embassy In Korea Trying To Assist Rozzana
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Embassy in Seoul, South Korea, is trying to provide consular assistance to Rozzana Mat Nanyan, 35, who is in the intensive care unit of Myongji Hospital, South Korea, due to breathing difficulties.
According to a post on the Foreign Ministry's official Facebook page (Wisma Putra) referring to the Harian Metro report titled “Bantu kami bawa pulang Rozanna” ("Help us bring Rozanna home") dated October 10, 2021, the ministry will continue to monitor Rozzana's condition.
The ministry, through embassy officials there, tried to visit her at the hospital but was not allowed to do so due to the spread of COVID-19.
Rozzana is now unconscious as she was intubated (sedated) to prevent seizures. According to the newspaper, her family wanted to take her home for treatment in Malaysia and are worried about the rising treatment bills.
Rozzana, who has been in the country for the past four years, works as an operator at a calendar publishing factory in Incheon, Seoul.
