AFC U-23 Cup Finals: Qatar Olympic Team Continue Preparations

Doha, October 12 (QNA) - Qatar's Olympic U-23 football team continues its field training within its preparatory camp which started at Aspire Stadium on October 10 and will continue until October 20, in preparation for the qualifiers for the AFC U-23 cup finals, from October 21-31 which will take place in Doha. Qatar will play in the first group against Syria, Yemen and Sri Lanka. In the first phase, 24 players will participate in the training, with the four players Mohamed Waad, Youssef Abdul Razzaq, Salah Zakaria and Hammam Al Amin joining from Oct 13 after the end of their participation with the first national team in the European qualifiers, after the Chilean coach Nicolas Cordova finalized a squad of 28 players in the team's list for the preparation camp. The current internal preparation camp includes two friendly matches with the Kuwait U-23 team on Oct 15 and on Oct 18 the training continues until the start of the qualifiers. A total of 42 teams will participate in the qualifiers to secure 15 places up for grabs, the U-23 AFC Asian Cup will be held in Uzbekistan. (QNA)
