Al Rayyan SC Honors Mutaz Barshim Winner of Tokyo Olympics High Jump Gold

Doha, October 13 (QNA) - Al Rayyan Sports Club held a celebration honoring Qatari Moataz Barshim, who won the gold medal in the high jump competition at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, on the open stage at the Mall of Qatar. The ceremony was attended by HE President of Al Rayyan Club Sheikh Ali bin Saud Al-Thani and a number of founders and veterans of Al Rayyan Club, as well as members of the club's first football team who were keen to celebrate the Olympic champion. For his part, Moataz Barshim thanked Al Rayyan Club Board of Directors for this generous honor, praising the role of Al Rayyan Club in making his stardom and launching his career especially since he started his career with sports under the supervision of the club's athletics apparatus. Barshim stressed that after the great winning of the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics, he still aspires to achieve more successes in the future. (QNA)
