NEW ZEALAND TAKING PART IN JAKARTA FASHION AND FOOD FESTIVAL
Jakarta, May 18 (ANTARA) - New Zealand is taking part in a Jakarta Fashion and Food Festival (JFFF) being held at Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, May 13-23, 2009.
The "Taste of New Zeland" event was targeted at families and combines fun time and a promotion of New Zealand beverages and foods, Grant Fuller, trade attache at the New Zealand embassy in Jakarta, said in a press statement here on Monday.
He hoped that the JFFF could become a bridge to facilitate broader bilateral trade between New Zealand and Indonesia.
The New Zealand stand presented among other things Maori dances, an ice-cream eating competition, interactive story telling, and a free medical checkup.
Fueled by the vision to turn Jakarta into a retail tourism destination, Jakarta Fashion & Food Festival (JFFF), a grandiose annual event, has been held each month of May.
JFFF was organized by the Jakarta city adminsitration and Summarecon, supported by the Association of Indonesian Fashion Designers & Entrepreneurs (APPMI), Martha Tilaar Group, MRA Media Group, Metro TV and Esmod School of Fashion.
Fashion Extravaganza is one agenda that never fails to show up in JFFF, parading the beauty and richness of Indonesian designers' creation. ***2***
