Cabinet Affairs Undersecretary receives UN officials

Manama, Oct. 19 (BNA): Cabinet Affairs Ministry's Undersecretary His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa received United Nations (UN) Development Coordination Office Regional Director Laila Bakr, Acting Resident Coordinator for UN Activities and International Organization for Migration (IOM) Bahrain Chief of Mission Mohamed El Zarkan, and UN Resident Coordinator Office Team Leader Asmara Achcar. The cabinet ministry's undersecretary stressed Bahrain's keenness to strengthen cooperation with the UN in various fields under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government’s efforts headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which led the Kingdom to great achievements in sustainable urban development and raise living standard in support to Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and the government's 2019-2022 action plan. The director praised Bahrain's efforts in supporting UN activities and programs in the Arab countries and globally. She also hailed Bahrain’s efforts to promote international joint action aimed to support development in the Arab region.
