Ways to enhance Bahraini-Malaysian cultural relations discussed

Manama, Oct. 19 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, today received the newly-appointed Malaysian Ambassador to Bahrain, Shazryll Zahiran, and discussed with him ways to enhance cultural cooperation between the two countries. Shaikha Mai stressed the importance of strengthening the Bahraini-Malaysian cooperation in the cultural field, praising the current level of bilateral cooperation, reflected in various joint events and activities. She indicated that BACA supports Bahrain’s efforts to be open to other countries and cultures, as well as extend bridges of communication between the Bahraini and Malaysian peoples, wishing the envoy every success. The ambassador expressed thanks to BACA for its efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, saying that he looks forward to working with BACA in many cultural projects and programmes that promote the shared cultural features.
