"Ernest Aldrich" Wins Qatar Cup for Purebred Horses

Doha, October 28 (QNA) - The horse "Ernest Aldrich", owned by Abdul Latif Hussein Zainal Al Emadi, trained by Bader Al Balushi and jockey JP Guillambert, won the Qatar Cup for purebred horses, after winning first place in the eighth "main" race of the fifth race of the 2021-2022 season, which was organized by the Racing and Equestrian Club this evening on the sandy track in Al Rayyan. In the first rounds of todays race, the mare "Qoot" owned by Ahmed Hassan Al Maliki Al Juhani trained by Hamad Al Jehani and jockey Soufiane Saadi won the first place in the race dedicated to the purebred Arabian horses, a local production of the novice, 3-6 years old, for a distance of 1200 meters. The skilled "Thamina" owned by Stud Enjaz trained by Ali Yousuf Al Kubaisi and jockey Marco Casamento won the first place in the second half of the local Thoroughbred Maiden Plate (Fillies & Mares) aged 3-6 years, for a distance of 1200 meters. The horse "Tamih", owned by Ahmed Mubarak Al Kuwari, trained by Mohamed Rashid Seif Al Kuwari and jockey Pranil Arvind Kharat won his second consecutive victory this season, by winning first place in the third race for the Purebred Arabian Novice of 3 years and above, over a distance of 1200 meters. The horse "Wemyss Ware" succeeded in giving the "Enjaz" stall and jockey Marco Casamento their second victory in the race by winning first place in the fourth race for the Thoroughbred Novice Plate of 3 years and above for a distance of 1900 metres. The horse "Stilvio", owned by Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, trained by Mohammed Ghazali and jockey Qais Al Busaidi, won first place in the fifth race for purebred Arabian horses, equivalence of classification of 80 and less, age 3 years and above for a distance of 1900 metres. The horse "Roman Melody" owned by "Enjaz" trained by Gassim Ghazali and jockey Marco Casamento managed to win first place in the sixth race for purebred horses, equivalence of classification of 80 and less, age 3 years and above, for a distance of 1700 meters. The pony "Tilaawah", owned by Unayzah Racing, trained by Hamad Al Jehani and jockey Lukas Delozier won first place in the seventh race for purebred hybrid horses, Thoroughbred Handicap, age 3, for a distance of 1200 meters.
