Special Envoy for Climate Affairs receives German Ambassador

Manama, Oct. 30 (BNA): Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, received the German Ambassador to Bahrain, Kai Thamo Boeckmann. Dr. Bin Daina lauded the advanced level of the Bahraini-German cooperation across various fields, stressing the SCE’s keenness to further bolster bilateral cooperation through the exchange of expertise and information in order to achieve the two friendly countries’ interests. He highlighted the quantum leap witnessed by the kingdom in all environment-related fields, as well as its effective role in honouring its obligations in the international agreements and treaties on environment and climate affairs. The envoy expressed his country’s pride in the development of its relations with the kingdom, commending the efforts of the SCE to protect the environment and address the effects of climate change. He expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries will increase in order to contribute to unifying efforts to protect the environment and the climate in a way that would achieve sustainable development goals.
