HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets former UK Prime Minister

Glasgow, Nov. 2 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and current member of the British Parliament, the Rt Hon Theresa May MP, on the sidelines of the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), held in Glasgow, Scotland. His Royal Highness highlighted the longstanding strategic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom. His Royal Highness and Mrs May discussed a range of key COP26 issues. In this regard, His Royal Highness highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to environmental security and combatting climate change, including the Kingdom’s intention to achieve net zero emissions by 2060. The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, HE Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and CEO of the Supreme Council for Environment, HE Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, were in attendance.
