EMIRATES INCREASES FREE BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

KUALA LUMPUR, May 19 (Bernama)-- Emirates Airlines has increased the free
baggage allowance provided to passengers. The new allowance has been in effect
from May 4.

Passengers are now allowed 30kg for economy class, 40kg for business and
50kg for first.

"Emirates has moved to these new, free baggage levels to further demonstrate
our commitment to putting passengers first," said country manager, Emirates
in Malaysia, Alban Lee in a statement Tuesday.

Emirates' regular rates will be applied to baggage in excess of these new
allowances.

The new baggage allowance does not apply to those travelling to or
from countries which apply a piece concept for check-in luggage. For more
