Qatar Football Team Continue Preparations for Last Two Rounds of European Qualifiers

Doha, November 08 (QNA) - Qatar national football team continue its preparations for the last two rounds of European qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, scheduled from November 20 to December 18, 2022. Qatar, host of the next World Cup, who are competing as a guest nation, participate in the European qualifiers in Group A, which includes Portugal, Serbia, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan and Ireland. The first team trained in Aspire today, the training continues until the Tuesday, the date of travel to Belgrade to face Serbia on November 11 in the ninth round of the European qualifiers, provided that the team's delegation will leave immediately after the match to the capital, Baku, to face Azerbaijan on the fourteenth of the same month in the tenth and final round in the playoffs. Qatar coach Felix Sanchez named a 27-member squad: Saad Al Sheeb, Meshaal Barsham, Youssef Hassan, Salah Zakaria, Pedro Miguel, Abdelkarim Hassan, Boualem Khoukhi, Bassam Al Rawi, Sultan Al Brake, Tarek Salman, Ismail Mohammed, Jasem Gaber, Homam Al Amin, Musab Khedir, Karim Boudiaf, Abdulaziz Hatem, Abdullah Al Ahrak, Ali Asad, Yousef Abdurisag, Mohammed Waad, Khalid Muneer, Assim Madibo, Ahmed Alaaeldin, Hassan Al Haydos, Akram Afif, Muhammed Muntari and Almoez Ali. The Qatari team is participating in the last two rounds of the European qualifiers as part of its preparations for the Arab Cup (Qatar 2021) in which it will participate in the first group along with the teams of Iraq, Oman and Bahrain, which will be hosted by the State of Qatar for the second time in its history, during the period from November 30 to December 18, with the participation of 16 teams under the supervision of the International Football Association (FIFA). This participation is a historic opportunity for the Qatar national team, and it is a strong and useful experience through playing and interacting with strong European teams to prepare in the best and fullest way for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
