4th report on children situations in Yemen to be discussed

SANA'A, May 19 (Saba)- Organizations concerned with the welfare of
the child rights and a number of journalists will discuss in a
workshop the 4th Report on Children Situation in Yemen.

The workshop would be organized by Yemeni NGOs Coordination
Authority to protect child rights with the aim of coming out with a
clear vision about the report.

It also aims to evaluate the efforts have been done to prepare the
report and correct its pitfalls before presenting it to the UNICEF.

The authority chairman Abdu al-Harazi said that the workshop is held
in coordination with the Saba News Agency in order to deliver
children issue to the government, NGOs and international
organizations.

He made reference that the authority seeks during this workshop to
provide 30 children from the disabled and marginalized groups with
means to prepare and implement the report.

He said that the government presents its report on children
situations in Yemen every five years to the UN, and the authority
presents a parallel report to be discussed along with world reports
in a meeting held by UN.
