Germany to support German language learning in Kyrgyz schools and universities

As part of the Embassy’s to increase cooperation with the German states, Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Germany Erlan Abdyldaev visited the Bavarian federal land, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported Monday. The trip included a meeting of Abdyldaev with Bavarian State Minister for European and International Affairs Melanie Huml. During the meeting, the Bavarian side expressed its readiness to consider the possibility of beginning work on the training and retraining of Kyrgyz youth in vocational education, as well as provide assistance in teaching the German language in schools and universities in Kyrgyzstan. In addition, an agreement was reached to hold joint cultural and humanitarian events in Bavaria in 2022 to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Germany. The Kyrgyz MFA reported that another meeting was held with State Secretary of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy Roland Weigert. Erlan Abdyldaev informed the Kyrgyz-German Business Forum is planned to be held in Bishkek in 2022 and invited Roland Weigert together with the Bavarian businessmen to take part in its work. The ambassador also noted the interest of the Kyrgyz side to increase cooperation in the field of renewable energy. In his turn, the state secretary of the Bavarian Ministry expressed interest in cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, noting the readiness to visit Kyrgyzstan in 2022 as a member of the Bavarian economic delegation.
