Meetings of local councils to find out solutions for issues, says al-Alimi

SANA'A, May 19 (Saba)- Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and
Security Affairs and Minister of Local Administration Rashad
al-Alimi said on Tuesday that the meetings of the local council
across the country would discuss key issues to come out with
solutions.

In a press conference, al-Alimi said that these meetings would be
started by next month to discuss the national strategy for the local
ruling which aims at granting further power for the local ruling.

The meetings would discuss obstacles and problems at government
level to suggest solution to tackle those problems within
constitution and national principles, republican, unity, and
democracy, al-Alimi said.


He added that outcomes of the meeting would be raised to coming
fifth conference for the local councils that would be held in coming
months.

The conference would approve a program of carrying out the national
strategy of local ruling and solutions for problems and issues
facing the nation, he said.

Al-Alimi called on media personnel to cover activities of these
meeting and shed light on goals of holding such meetings.
