Yemen, WB discuss project of persevering underground waters

SANA'A, May 19 (Saba)- Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation
Mansorh al-Hoshabi discussed on Tuesday with the delegation of the
World Bank a project persevering underground waters.

They discussed means of insuring the sustainability of the project
and handing it over to the National Program for Irrigation that
would be carried out by next July.

The project was implemented by the water and environment center at
Sana'a University funded by the Japanese government in three
governorates, Hadramout, Dhamar and Taiz.

They also discussed outcomes of the field visits done by the
delegation of the bank to inspect activities of the project in these
governorates.
