SUPREME COURT PREPARING 2,000 CORRUPTION JUDGES
Semarang, Indonesia, May 19 (ANTARA) - The Supreme Court is preparing two thousand judges to especially handle corruption cases.
"Following the establishment of the corruption court, the judges will be assigned to all the district courts in Indonesia," Supreme Court Vice President Abdul Kadir Mappong said in Semarang Tuesday.
He said right now 600 judges had already followd special training, and another 600 will follow a similar specialized training, bringing the total to 1,200.
"To serve the corruption courts, the Supreme Court will prepare 2000 judges by September this year," he said.
Abdul Kadir also admitted that the Supreme Court had difficulties in preparing the budget for the specialized training.
Following the passage of the draft corruption court law by the House of Representatives, the Supreme Court will have certified judges.***
