AIR FORCE HERCULES PLANE CRASHES IN MADIUN
Jakarta, May 20 (ANTARA) - An Air Force Hercules plane flying from Jakarta to Madiun, East Java, Indonesia, crashed into a rice field at Geplak village in Magetan at about 6:20 on Wednesday morning, or a few minutes before landing at Iswahyudi military airbase.
Air Force spokesman Rear Marshal Bambang S told a private television station that a Hercules aircraft of the Air Force did crash in Madiun on Wednesday morning.
But so far there was no immediate report on the number of casualty in the accident.
Wednesday's crash in Madiun is the second in less than two weeks after another Air Force Hercules plane overshot the runway of Wamena airport in Papua on Monday, May 10, 2009.
