Foreign Minister meets US National Security Council Coordinator for Middle East and North Africa

Manama, Nov. 21 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, today met the US National Security Council Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, Brett McGurk, on the sidelines of the 17th Manama Dialogue. The two sides reviewed the close historic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, discussing ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation in all fields in the benefit of both countries. They also reviewed the political and security developments in the region, the challenges that threaten its security and stability, and the efforts made to consolidate security, peace and development. The meeting was attended the Chargé d'Affairs of the US Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Margaret Nardi, the Director-General of the Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Talal Abdulsalam Al-Ansari, and the Chief of the Americas Affairs at the Ministry, Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa.
