SC Ambassadors Praise Celebration of Unveiling of Countdown Clock for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

Doha, November 22 (QNA) - World stars and ambassadors of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, praised Qatar's preparations to host the World Cup a year from now while attending the unveiling ceremony of the countdown clock for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar. They stressed that the world will be on a date with an exceptional edition of the World Cup in 2022, after the stadiums and sports facilities were ready a year before the important event. The Chief of Tournament Experience at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Khalid Ali Al Mawlawi, which is responsible for organizing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, expressed his happiness and pride at the completion of most of the World Cup stadiums to host the tournament next year. Al Mawlawi said in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that he is happy to be present in this ceremony, which indicates the readiness of the State of Qatar to host this distinguished tournament, and he is proud of the readiness of most stadiums to host the World Cup. For his part, Mutaz Barshim, the Olympic champion in athletics, said the dream has become a reality, and we are present today in the countdown ceremony, and one year remains until the kick off of the World Cup, and it will be a successful tournament. Barshim invited all fans from around the world to attend the World Cup next year, enjoy watching the matches, the atmosphere of the tournament and its accompanying activities, and learn about Qatar's culture, customs and traditions. For his part, the Ambassador of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Ahmed Khalil, expressed his great happiness at the unveiling of the countdown clock for the start of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, pointing out that it is one of the very important moments with the kick off of the World Cup a year from now. Ahmed Khalil added in exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that he was hoping to participate as a player with the Qatari national team, and as a Qatari and an Arab from the Middle East, he is also happy that the World Cup will be organized in Doha, especially after the great effort of the wise leadership to host this event for the happiness of all Arabs, Gulf people, and all in the Middle East. Marcos Cafu, former captain of the Brazilian national team and ambassador of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, praised Qatar's preparations to organize the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will start a year from now. The player who attended the celebration of the unveiling of the World Cup clock said that Qatar has a real desire to organize an ideal event a year from now. He stressed that Qatar has prepared all the stadiums, noting that they, as ambassadors of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, have visited all the stadiums and know the extent of their readiness, praising the great effort made by the Committee. The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be held for the first time in the Gulf and Arab region, which was previously difficult to achieve, but with Qatar's plan that it presented before winning the honor of hosting in 2010, things have changed, and now the country is close to starting the extraordinary event.
